Privacy policy

Last updated 17 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data MH Works Ltd collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is MH Works Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15932874, whose registered office is at 20 Westbourne Park, Scarborough, England, YO12 4AT.

For any question about this policy or your personal data, write to matthew@mh-works.com.

This website

mh-works.com sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels. There is no sign-up, no login and no contact form, so the site collects nothing about you directly.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. Like any web host, GitHub records technical connection data whenever a page is requested. That is typically your IP address, the time of the request, the page you asked for, and your browser's user-agent string. GitHub processes it to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse.

Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interests, specifically running and securing the website. GitHub, Inc. may process the data outside the UK, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, which may include the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. MH Works Ltd does not receive, store or have access to these logs.

If you email us

When you write to matthew@mh-works.com we process your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever is in your message. We do this to reply to you and to manage the enquiry or the work that follows.

The lawful basis is legitimate interests in answering enquiries, or the performance of a contract once we are working together. Mail is hosted on Microsoft 365, so Microsoft processes it on our behalf as a data processor. We keep correspondence for as long as the matter needs, and we keep anything forming part of the company's business and accounting records for six years, as UK company and tax law requires.

We do not use your address for marketing. We do not sell or share it.

Applications

MH Works Ltd publishes two mobile games, Numeri and Coniuga!, for iOS and Android. This policy does not cover them. Each app has its own, both because an app behaves nothing like a website and because an app store listing has to point at a policy written for the app itself.

  • Numeri privacy policy and support page
  • Coniuga! privacy policy and support page

Neither game collects personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no tracking, and the only thing either app sends anywhere is an anonymous crash report so that faults can be found and fixed. The two policies above set that out in full.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have data erased, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
  • restrict or object to how we process it, including processing we base on legitimate interests;
  • receive data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable form;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To use any of these rights, email matthew@mh-works.com. We will reply within one month, and there is no charge.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly if we can.
